BIRMINGHAM'S NEW WHOLESALE MARKET

This week saw the opening of the new 50 million pound Birmingham Wholesale Market. We decided to take a quick trip up to see what all of the excitement was about!

The new market houses nearly 40 different wholesalers in 78 integrated units selling everything from fresh meat and fish to veg and flowers. This new integrated layout with central buyers walk allows the market to easily supply hotels and restaurants in a one stop shop fashion providing a full supply of fresh produce!

It was great for us to see Oliver’s washed Potatoes for sale front and centre in many units, everything from our Salad Potatoes to our Baking and Chipping Potatoes were available.
